Pachmarhi - Pack your bag for Memorable Trip to Satpura Hills!! P achmarhi is popularly known as Queen of Satpura and is positioned beautifully at the height of over 1060 meter amidst the Satpura range. The name Pachmarhi is said to be originated from the Hindi words Panch (Five) & Marhi (Caves). According to mythology and legends it is believed that Pandavas (The Five Brothers in the Mahabharata an Hindu epic - Yudhistira, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula, and Sahadeva - the central characters) visited Pachmarhi during their exile and took shelters in these caves(This might be just a folklore). During the British era t hese beautiful locales in satpura hills were located by Captain James Forsyth in 1857 and since then It has been an army cantonment. At present it is part of Hoshangabad district in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is the most popular hill station in central India. Satpura National Park - Panarpani Trail (Neemghan) |Pachmarhi Satapura Tour Folks - This is in continuation of my previous blog   2 Day Pachmarhi Trip  where I walked you through beautiful sights and locations spread across Pachmarhi. But before I take you to this beautiful nature trail from Panarpani gate of Satpura National Park let me tell you about prerequisites for forest safari. Tips: 1. Please procure permit to visit forest either online by visiting  https://forest.mponline.gov.in/  or buy it from Bison Lodge Museum (Open till 05:30 PM) at Pachmarhi. Permit cost is 250/person without taxes. 2. Also get the guide assigned previous day ( charges 480/) from office at Bison Lodge Museum since you'll not be able to get the same arranged in the morning. 3. Make certain you've a gypsy at your disposal which is in good condition & registration with the forest department. (Same can be verified at Museum Office). Gypsy for a ride would cost you about 1900 - 2200

Kumbhalgarh Folks - This is in continuation to the previous post - How to Explore  and Enjoy The Lake City - Udaipur in Two days | DAY-1. I would recommend that you go through the previous post ( Udaipur - Day 1 )before hopping onto this one. Well! Having spent an awesome day in the Lake City I was bound to crave for more and on the second day of my stay I decided to explore outskirts of the city. After managing daily chores and having my breakfast at my hotel I hired a taxi (Ola Outstation) and left for Shilp Gram which is about 3 kms west from the city of Udaipur around 10:30 AM and reached the destination within half an hour.
